The Regional Housing Support Services’ Housing Resource Centres include:
The Housing Resource Centres create a weekly housing list of available rentals in the Barrie, Orillia, Midland and Collingwood areas, as well as additionally offering landlord/tenant mediation, short-term support to those who are facing difficulties with regards to their rental situation, and information about referrals to other community resources.
Centres provide support when applying for programs and funding available to local residents, including the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP), the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP), and the Housing Retention Fund.
