The RentSmart Certificate course is a comprehensive housing education workshop designed for anyone facing challenges in securing or maintaining housing.
This course is particularly useful if you are navigating issues such as difficult housing searches, potential eviction, learning about tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities, or managing financial strains related to rent.
RentSmart equips you with the essential skills and knowledge to address and overcome these hurdles. The course covers a wide range of critical housing topics, including:
- Effective Housing Search Skills
- Eviction Process & Prevention
- Budgeting for Housing
- Ensuring Housing Safety
- Maintenance Do's and Don'ts
- Meeting Landlord Expectations
- Roommate and Neighbor Relations
- Accessing Community Resources (e.g. financial assistance and affordable housing)
After completing the course, you will receive the RentSmart Certificate of completion. This certificate can be used in place of or in addition to a reference by demonstrating to landlords that you have invested time in learning how to be exceptional tenant.
