FEE FOR service

Empower Simcoe is pleased to begin offering Fee For Service programs to our community. This means that people supported can access valuable learning and recreational opportunities with the direct funding they receive, which can include either the Ministry of Community and Social Services (Passport) or the Ministry of Child and Youth Services (Special Services At Home).
Our Fee For Service programs aim to enhance the lives of individuals by promoting their social inclusion, independence, and access to various services and opportunities. These services may include skill-building workshops, recreational activities, educational programs, or vocational training.

Diverse Services

A range of services designed to meet the unique needs and goals of individuals with disabilities, such as skill development, socialization opportunities, and community engagement programs.

Person-Centered Planning

Customized service plans that consider the individual’s interests, strengths, and preferences to ensure a personalized experience.

Accessibility

Ensuring that services and activities are accessible and inclusive for individuals with various types of disabilities.

Qualified Staff

Trained and experienced staff who can provide support, guidance, and supervision as needed.

Evaluation & Feedback

Regular assessments and feedback mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness of services and make necessary improvements.

Social Club

Social Club is a 6-week program for making new friends through ice breakers, games, crafts, and engaging activities each week.

Express Yourself Dance & Motion Course

The Express Yourself course combines melody and motion to unleash your creativity in a fun, inclusive environment. Discover the joy of movement, music, and self-expression!

SibShops
SibShops

Sibshops are designed just for siblings (ages 8 to 13) of kids and youth with disabilities or developmental needs. This group is specifically for kids who do not have developmental needs themselves. It’s a chance to have fun, make new friends, and talk about what it’s like to have a sibling with a disability or developmental need.

Our Snoezelen environments provide soothing and engaging spaces that help reduce agitation and anxiety. Book our Snoezelen Rooms online for access in Barrie and Orillia.

Unleash your creativity with Create and Inspire Art, an immersive 8-week program designed for individuals eager to explore various forms of artistic expression. Each week, participants will dive into a new artistic medium, guided by two supportive staff members who foster a positive and encouraging environment.

Youth Link is an after-school and evening program for youth of all abilities, fostering belonging, growth, and diverse skills through engaging activities, mentorship, and a supportive environment.
