Landlord Partnership Program

The Landlord Partnership Program is a campaign to increase housing stock for those individuals experiencing chronic homelessness in our society.

It is an effort to recover from the impact of the ongoing housing crisis in our community.  It is a push to educate and raise awareness throughout Simcoe County about the effects of homelessness and is a call to all private market landlords, property managers and those who operate in the housing market to help our most vulnerable and most at risk.  Because the person across the counter from you could be struggling or at risk of homelessness.

Incentives May Include:

Empower Simcoe will administer the equivalent of two months rent to a landlord entering into a standardized lease with an eligible shelter participant

Never have to worry about an empty unit or posting a unit vacancy ad again.

Empower Simcoe will make the RentSmart Certification Program available to all eligible participants. The participation in this certification program is voluntary.

Empower Simcoe will administer $300 to a landlord committing a private market rental unit to a eligible participant.

Housing Access Workers providing supports to ensure smooth transition of move in and getting established for a term no longer than 3 months.
