Inclusive Housing Begins with a Free Info Session from DSO Housing Navigators

Inclusive Housing Network Guide Information Session – June 23, 2025

At Empower Simcoe, we know that having a place to call home is about more than just bricks and mortar. It’s about belonging, dignity, and having real choice in how and where you live. That’s why we’re excited to share an upcoming opportunity to learn more about inclusive housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Join us on Monday, June 23 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. for a free online information session about the new Inclusive Housing Network Guide. This guide has been developed by DSO Housing Navigators to support housing solutions that are inclusive, person centered, and responsive to the diverse needs of people and communities.

The session will explore how building strong networks among families, service providers, community groups, and housing partners can lead to more accessible, affordable, and culturally respectful housing options. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in creating communities where everyone has the chance to thrive.

Whether you are a caregiver, someone with lived experience, or a professional working in housing or developmental services, this event will offer valuable insights and practical ideas to take forward.

Date: Monday, June 23, 2025
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Online (a meeting link will be sent before the event)

Giving back makes me feel that I’m contributing a little bit to making life better for other people. It’s my small contribution. I want to make life a little bit easier and happier for people, to know they are loved and cared about and are important.
