#EmpowerSimcoeTalks on Bell Let’s Talk day – Jan 25th

Bell Let’s Talk Day, which is designed to break the silence around mental illness and support mental health all across Canada, is Wednesday, January 25th.

As an agency committed to creating positive change in our community, we invite you to participate by calling, texting, or using the hashtag #BellLetsTalk to drive meaningful progress in mental health.conversation bubble

Inspired by this initiative, Empower Simcoe is pledging to locally donate $1.00 for every public use of the hashtag #EmpowerSimcoeTalks on social media, up to $2500.00. This year, we will be donating to Seasons Centre for Grieving Children in Barrie. We’re delighted to support Seasons Centre for Grieving Children’s vision of building resilience in children, strengthening families and empowering the community to grow from grief.

Join us Wednesday January 25th by using the hashtags #BellLetsTalk and #EmpowerSimcoeTalks as we continue the conversation on ways to support ourselves and those we care about through actions like listening, being there, and talking. All of us can play a part in our community, at work, at school, and home.

Giving back makes me feel that I’m contributing a little bit to making life better for other people. It’s my small contribution. I want to make life a little bit easier and happier for people, to know they are loved and cared about and are important.
