Empower Simcoe is excited to once again partner with the Optimist Club of Barrie to offer Optimist Bowling 2026 – a free, eight-week summer bowling opportunity for children, youth, and young adults supported by Empower Simcoe.
Thanks to the continued generosity of the Optimist Club, this fun and inclusive program provides a chance for participants to get active, socialize, and enjoy a snack while knocking down some pins.
Eligibility: Children, youth, and young adults with intellectual disabilities or other neurodiversities (all ages welcome, but priority will be given to children and youth).

- Time: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- Location: Bowlerama at Bayfield Mall

- Ages: 6 - 20
Registration Information:
Registration for the 2026 Optimist Bowling program is now open. Families are encouraged to submit their registration as soon as possible, as spaces may be limited.
Once registration has been reviewed, participants will be assigned to confirmed spots. Waitlists may be created based on availability and priority criteria.

Supervision and Support:
Bowling sessions are supervised by members of the Optimist Club, with a Family Support staff member from Empower Simcoe on-site. Please note: 1:1 support is not provided. Families are responsible for arranging transportation.
