The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is proud to congratulate Empower Simcoe CEO Dr. Claudine Cousins as the recipient of its first Leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award.

Presented at the 2023 Barrie Business Awards Gala, this prestigious honour recognizes an organization that embraces cultural differences, exemplifies leadership and has a commitment to equitable practices that builds an inclusive workplace.

“This recognition is a tribute to all our Empower Simcoe employees.  I have a great team around me and I give them all the credit,” said Dr. Cousins to the capacity crowd at Liberty North Banquet Hall.  “If you think about equity, diversity and inclusion the same way you do health and safety, as in it’s everyone’s business, then your organization or business will always be successful.”
