03 Nov The Empower Simcoe Artisans’ Card Contest is back!
In partnership with Creative Cafe, Barrie, the Empower Simcoe Artisans’ Card Contest is once again open for art submissions from the people and families supported by Empower Simcoe. 
The winning entrant’s art will be featured on our agency’s 2024 card.
Entries can be in the form of a painting, drawing, sketch or graphic art depicting the theme: “What Empower Simcoe means to me”.
Art submissions must be received by Monday December 18th, 2023 at 4:30pm at 39 Fraser Court, Barrie, or 35 West Street, Orillia.
The winning submission will receive a Creative Café Create Bundle (one walk in canvas project, one pre-booked clay project and a $100 gift card for pottery painting fun) from Creative Cafe, Barrie!

2024 Guidelines, Rules and Conditions
This contest is only open to people and families supported by Empower Simcoe.
The subject (art) should be suitable for use as the agency’s 2024 card, depicting the theme “What Empower Simcoe means to me.”
More than one entry may be submitted.
Entry may be an original painting, drawing, sketch, graphic art etc.
Minimum recommended size of original artwork – 4” x 6”. Maximum recommended size of original artwork – 8” x 10”.
The winning entrant must agree to allow:
a. Their name and a short bio to appear on the finished card.
b. Their art to become the property of Empower Simcoe. All copyright is transferred to Empower Simcoe.
c. Their name and reproduction of their winning entry to be published in the media.
d. Their original art to be displayed at Empower Simcoe
An award of a Creative Café Create Bundle (one walk in canvas project, one pre-booked clay project and a $100 gift card for pottery painting fun) will be made to the winning entrant.
All entries to be pre-judged by a panel, determined by Empower Simcoe’s CEO. The panel’s decision of the winning entry is final.
The winning artist will be notified by phone and/or email by December 30th, 2023.
All non-winning entries will be held for pick up until April 2024 and will be disposed of once that date has passed. Please contact communications@empowersimcoe.ca to confirm pick up time.
Finished art should be submitted in person to Empower Simcoe at 39 Fraser Court, Barrie or 35 West Street, Orillia. Please clearly label the package “Empower Simcoe Artisans’ Card Contest Entry.”
Empower Simcoe will not be held responsible for loss or damage to artwork submitted.
