17 May Empower Simcoe Signature Wine Label Design Contest is open!
In recognition of Empower Simcoe’s 70th anniversary in 2023, we’re excited to partner with Windrush Estate Winery in the creation of our very own Empower Simcoe signature wine.
Two years ago, this barrel aged VQA Pinot Noir 2018 won the GOLD MEDAL at the London, England International Wine Competition. Before we can uncork and sample this outstanding vintage at our 70th Anniversary Celebration at Rounds Ranch on July 23rd, we need your wine connoisseur creativity to design a unique and memorable 70th anniversary label to be featured on every limited run bottle of our anniversary wine.
The Empower Simcoe Signature Wine Label Design Contest is officially open!
Please note the following contest criteria:
* More than one entry may be submitted.
* Entry may be an original painting, drawing, sketch, graphic art etc.
* Artwork will be transferred to a 4″X 4″ label design
* The winning entrant must agree to allow:
- a. Artist will receive full credit and be recognized where the signature wine is sold and promoted.
- b. Their art to become the property of Empower Simcoe. All copyright is transferred to Empower Simcoe.
- c. Their name and reproduction of their winning entry to be published in the media.
- d. All proceeds from the sale of the signature wine will be directed to the Empower Simcoe Foundation.
Submit your label artwork to communications@empowersimcoe.ca no later than Friday May 26th.Artwork submissions can also be dropped off at Empower Simcoe’s offices at 39 Fraser Court, Barrie, or 35 West Street, Orillia during regular business hours.
This contest is open to all Empower Simcoe employees, volunteers, and people and families supported. The winning submission will receive a $50.00 gift voucher to one of the International Cuisine vendors of your choice from the Empower Simcoe’s 70th anniversary summer celebration party on July 23rd. Bottles of our Empower Simcoe wine will be available for purchase for $20.00 at the 70th anniversary Summer Celebration on July 23rd at Rounds Ranch, Elmvale.
