Introducing our latest Fee For Service program: Skills to Thrive!

Skills to Thrive is an 8-week program where participants will leave with skills and knowledge to thrive. With guest speakers, slideshows, games, and hands on learning activities people will be engaged while learning and having a good time.

The program will cover:

  • Safety at Home and in the Community,
  • Well-being,
  • Mental Health,
  • Money Management,
  • Daily Living,
  • Accessing the Community,
  • Making a Meal, and
  • Relationships.

There are qualitied members of the community who will come to speak about these topics including a registered dietitian, a Barrie Transit worker, and many more. Staff will dive deep into each topic in an engaging and meaningful way through slideshows, games, and hands on learning activities.

Cost: $400

Date(s)/Time(s): Monday mornings from 10am-12pm starting April 8th until June 3rd (program will not run on May 20th).

Location: Barrie – 40 Fraser Court

This course is designed to primarily serve adults with intellectual disabilities.
