Let’s Socialize

Let’s Socialize is a social skills program to support neuro diverse youth aged 12-16 years old and consists of 2 six-week programs to support social skills development and the understanding of healthy sexuality. The group is designed to have both a parent and a youth component whereby parents attend for the full 12 weeks and are provided parallel information to the youth room. This ensures that parents have the tools to support ongoing skills development with the youth. The curriculum is offered from September – December and January – April annually.

Criteria for Eligibility/Involvement:

In order to be eligible to receive the Let’s Socialize Program the youth must be currently living within the family home and residing in Simcoe County, be between the age of 12-16 years old, and have a diagnosis from the DSM neuro diversity such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or Intellectual Disability.
