As we welcome the New Year, I would like to take a moment to extend my sincere thanks to you. We are entering an exciting new chapter at Empower Simcoe with renewed optimism and a clear sense of purpose, and your trust and partnership are central to that journey.
Every day, our employees, volunteers, and community partners work alongside you to support the people you love with care, compassion, and commitment. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to walk beside individuals and families, advocating for choice, dignity, and meaningful lives within their communities. Because of this shared commitment, 2026 is looking brighter than ever.
Looking ahead, we are focused on moving Empower Simcoe forward – together. Our new Strategic Plan provides clear direction for our organization while keeping us firmly grounded in what matters most: the people we support and their families. It reflects our belief that excellence starts with strong relationships – between families and staff, leadership and operations, our Boards, community partners, and everyone who contributes to our mission.
We know the world around us continues to change rapidly, and our plan emphasizes the importance of staying flexible, responsive, and ready to act when new opportunities arise. It also reinforces our ongoing commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and to fostering a culture that welcomes innovation and continuous improvement.
We will continue to invest in our people and our services, strengthen partnerships across health, housing, and social care, and use data thoughtfully, not only to measure our impact, but to improve it, so we can continue providing the highest quality support possible.
