What is Snoezelen®?
Snoezelen Multi-Sensory Environments are relaxing spaces that help reduce agitation and anxiety, but they can also engage and delight the user, stimulate reactions and encourage communication.
We’re pleased to now offer convenient online booking for our Snoezelen Room in Barrie, allowing individuals to easily reserve their therapeutic sensory experience.
Therapy
Snoezelen has been providing therapists and health professionals with a Multi-Sensory toolkit for over 30 years. From portable resources to custom multi-sensory environments we have solutions that can help.
Relaxation
Snoezelen Multi-Sensory products and environments can be used to calm and reduce agitation through the use of gentle light, soothing sound, relaxing smells and textures.
Development
Snoezelen can be used as a learning and developmental tool, it can be used for color matching, understanding of cause and effect, and creating themed environments to teach in.
Stimulation
Snoezelen Multi-Sensory products and environments can be used to stimulate users by providing exciting visuals, music and sounds, invigorating smells and textures to explore.
Please note the following when booking:
- The Snoezelen room is booked for 30 minute periods at $25 to $50 per user + support person (based on location). Additional visitors will be charged at the same rate, up to 5 people supported (based on location).
- Cancellations & appointment rescheduling must be completed no later than 24 hours prior to appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, a $15 administrative fee will be applied.
