Empower Simcoe offers a number of programs and services for people in various stages of their adult lives
Support is offered to community members at risk of homelessness, experiencing homelessness or experiencing rental and/or utilities arrears through the Simcoe County Regional Housing First Program
CSS helps people find and maintain leisure/recreational activities/competitive employment and transition out of high school and into adulthood. We are located in both Barrie and Orillia.
This program is designed to provide parents/guardians with overnight respite for short periods of time
We support 165 adults living in shared homes throughout Barrie & Orillia to achieve empowered lives within their community
We’re pleased to offer a quiet-setting where supports focus on the promotion of individual rights, informed decision making, community participation and self-defined preferred quality of life
Empower Simcoe offers fluctuating support, as needs change, to individuals living in Barrie and Orillia. Typically staff provide assistance in the areas of budgeting, shopping, meal preparation and community participation.
The Family Home Program provides an accommodation option for adults with an intellectual disability who cannot or choose not to live with their family
Family Relief program assists by connecting families to various respite options in Simcoe County and by providing respite funding
Family-Centered case management support to families who have children under the age of 18 living at home with a diagnosed intellectual disability
